Live displays
Learn how to set up EnaFeedback live displays (dynamic QR), pair them with a registration code, check their status and manage them step by step.
A live display is a kiosk, tablet or TV screen placed at a location that shows a constantly changing QR code. EnaFeedback also calls it "dynamic QR". Unlike a printed poster, the code on screen refreshes every few seconds, so a photo of it cannot be scanned from somewhere else. A scan confirms that the person is really at that location. This is especially valuable for proving that field staff were on site when they log cleaning and control rounds.
Required role and prerequisites
- Owner or Administrator (Organization menu group).
- The location exists under Organization → Buildings and is active.
- A screen with internet access and a web browser (kiosk, tablet or smart TV).
Pair a display
Open Displays
Go to Organization → Displays. You can also get there from display management in a location's actions.
Create a registration code
For the location, click Create registration code. The one-time code is valid for 10 minutes. You can use it as a 10-character short code or as a join link.
Connect from the kiosk
In the screen's browser, open your organization's EnaFeedback address with /display at the end and enter the registration code. If you use the join link, just open it on the screen.
Check the output
Once paired, the screen shows the location's live QR code. In Displays, check that the screen's status is Online.
If the code has expired
A registration code not used within 10 minutes stops working. Create a new code and try again.
After pairing, the screen keeps a credential cookie in its browser. The server stores only a hash (SHA-256) of it. If you clear the browser's data, you will need to pair the screen again.
What the screen shows
A display shows one of two outputs:
- Dynamic QR: the rotating QR code plus the location name, with building, floor and unit.
- Poster template: a design from the poster template editor. The template's QR slots show the live code.
How the rotating QR works
- The screen fetches a new code every 15 seconds.
- Each code stays valid for 30 seconds, so someone scanning just as the code changes can still get in with the previous one.
- Codes use the
qrx.enainnovation.comaddress and carry an unguessable random ticket. - A scan from a live display opens a verified location session. When "Verification required" is on in the field team modules, logs are accepted only from sessions opened by a live display or NFC.
Kiosk behavior
- The screen language rotates every 45 seconds through the visitor languages you have enabled (from Turkish, English, German and Arabic).
- Content shifts slightly every 2 minutes to protect the panel.
- A screen wake lock keeps the display from sleeping. We still recommend turning off the device's own power-saving and screensaver settings.
Display statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Online | The screen has signaled within the last 45 seconds. |
| Offline | No signal for 45 seconds. Check the internet connection and that the device is on. |
| Disabled | An admin has disabled the display. |
Admin actions
In Displays, you can do the following for each screen:
- Change the output (dynamic QR or poster template)
- Rotate the credential (the old one stops working)
- Disable or re-enable it
- Delete it
- View stats: the last signal and display scans over the last 30 days
Lost or moved devices
If a kiosk device is lost or moved elsewhere, disable the display or rotate its credential. That stops the device from showing the old location's code.
Common mistakes
- Creating the registration code and getting to the kiosk too late. Create the code while you are at the screen.
- Mounting the screen out of reach or where bright light hits it. Test with a phone that the code scans easily.
- Missing an Offline status. Check Displays regularly.
