Poster template editor

Learn how to build EnaFeedback poster templates: background image, print DPI, text and QR elements, placeholders, QR styles and error correction.

Last updated:

A poster template is the design EnaFeedback uses to build each location's QR poster. You design it once; when you pick it while downloading posters, the location name, code and QR code are filled in for every poster. That way you can print posters for hundreds of locations that are consistent and match your brand.

Required role and prerequisites

  • Owner or Administrator (Organization menu group).
  • The template editor works on desktop only. You cannot edit templates on a phone or small tablet.
  • A background image: ideally one from your design team, with empty space left for the QR code and text.

Background image and page size

RuleValue
FormatsPNG, JPEG or WebP
Maximum file size15 MB
Longest edgeUp to 6000 px
Print DPI72–600, default 150

The page size is calculated from the image's pixel size and the print DPI: pixels × 72 / DPI. There is no paper-size picker. If you want A4 or A3, prepare the image at the pixel size that matches that format at your target DPI. For example, a portrait A4 poster at 150 DPI needs an image of about 1240 × 1754 px.

Build a template

Open Templates

Go to Organization → Templates and create a new template. Each template gets a system code starting with ST.

Upload the background and set DPI

Upload the background image. Set the DPI for your print quality; if you are unsure, keep the default of 150.

Add text elements

You can add up to 10 text elements. Give each one a placeholder or fixed text (see the table below). The font is Noto Sans.

Add QR elements

You can add up to 3 QR elements. The QR content is either the location address or a custom value of your choice. Set the style, colors and error correction level.

Save and test

Save the template. Then use Download poster on one location with this template, print the sample PDF and scan the QR code with a phone.

Text placeholders

PlaceholderWhat the poster shows
Location nameFor example, "B-block 2nd-floor restroom"
Location codeThe 6-character code
Unit nameThe unit the location belongs to
Unit + locationUnit and location name together
Building / floor / unitFull path, without the location
Building / floor / unit / locationFull path
Custom textFixed text you write, for example "Your feedback matters to us"

QR options

  • Content: the location address (recommended) or a custom value.
  • Styles: square, dots, rounded, classy, classy-rounded, extra-rounded.
  • Colors: foreground and background.
  • Error correction: L, M, Q or H. When your organization's logo sits in the center of the QR code, the level is forced to H, because the logo covers part of the code and the highest correction level is needed.

Keep it scannable

Keep strong contrast between foreground and background. A light QR code on a dark background, or two similar shades, can be hard to scan on some phones. If you use a decorative style, test it with several phones before printing.

Editing tools

  • Undo / redo
  • Grid and snap
  • Layers: hide, lock, reorder
  • Duplicate an element

Tips

  • Keep the QR code large enough and leave a margin around it.
  • Multiple QR elements are useful, for example, to repeat the same location code at the top and bottom of a tall poster.
  • You can keep separate templates for different units or buildings and pick the right one when downloading.
  • Templates can also be shown on live displays. There, the template's QR slots show the live, rotating QR code. See Live displays.
