Preferences is the personal page in the admin panel (/admin) where each user manages their own alert settings. Here you turn on SMS quiet hours, see which alert rules are enabled in your organization and whether they reach you, and stop following records. The settings affect only your own account, not other users' preferences.
Required role and version
- Every panel user can open their own Preferences page; no extra permission is needed.
- The current form of SMS quiet hours, with a single digest SMS, arrived in EnaFeedback 2.2.0.
Open the page
There are two ways in:
- Open your account menu in the sidebar and choose Preferences.
- Click the settings icon (Alert preferences) at the bottom of the notification bell's pop-up.
The page has four sections on the left: Alert preferences, Organization alerts, Personal alerts and Regional / language.
Alert preferences
SMS quiet hours
Requires: EnaFeedback 2.2.0In the Quiet hours tab you set a time window in which you do not want SMS messages, for example at night or outside working hours.
Turn quiet hours on
In Alert preferences → Quiet hours, switch on Enable quiet hours.
Choose the window
Choose the Start and End times. The default window is 22:00–07:00.
Check that it saved
Changes save automatically; you see "Saving…" and then "Saved" next to the field.
During quiet hours, SMS messages from organization alert rules and from your personal follows are held. At the end time, a single digest SMS is sent for the held alerts. Email and in-app alerts keep arriving immediately. Held SMS messages show with the Held status under System → Records → Message records (that screen is open to the Owner and Administrator roles).
SMS needs a verified phone number
To receive SMS alerts, your user account needs a verified phone number. The Phone settings link in the tab takes you to your account settings.
Push devices
The Push devices tab lists your devices registered for push notifications. Push is currently not a channel you can choose in alert rules; use email, SMS and in-app for alerts.
Organization alerts
This section shows the alert rules enabled in your organization, read-only, in the Hygiene and Feedback tabs. You can see which channels each rule uses. If you are not among a rule's recipients, its card says "You are not in this rule's audience — alerts will not reach you."
You cannot change rules here. To change them, use the Alerts tab on the relevant module's Module management page (Owner and Administrator). See Module management.
Personal alerts
This section lists the records you follow in four tabs: Feedback, Personnel, Location and Surveys.
- To stop following, click Unfollow on the row.
- To change a follow's channels, open the record itself: for feedback, use the alert icon on the record; for personnel, locations and surveys, use that record's own screen.
See Follows and notifications for how follows start.
Regional / language
This section shows the organization language, visitor languages, time zone and country, read-only. The admin panel always uses the organization language; there is no personal language setting. These values are set under System → System settings → Regional settings. See System settings.
Known limits
- Quiet hours affect SMS only. Email and in-app alerts are not held.
- Quiet hours for the check-in / check-out reminder SMS messages sent to staff are a separate organization setting (Check-in / Check-out → Module management → Reminders & timesheet).
- Organization alert rule recipients are based on roles; you cannot opt yourself out of an organization rule on your own.
- On a phone, the page shows the section list first and the details when you tap a section.
