Translation and languages
Learn about the four visitor languages, automatic AI translation of your content, and how admins read feedback written in another language.
EnaFeedback's visitor and staff screens work in 4 languages: Turkish, English, German and Arabic, with Arabic shown right to left. The admin panel is in Turkish and English. AI translation does two jobs: it translates the pages, surveys and module text you write into the visitor's language, and it translates feedback written in another language so admins can read it.
Required role
Visitor languages and translation features are managed by the Owner and Administrator roles. The translation switches are under System → System settings → AI preferences.
How languages work
| Surface | Languages |
|---|---|
| Visitor and staff web screens | Turkish, English, German, Arabic (right to left) |
| Mobile app | Turkish, English, German, Arabic |
| Admin panel | Turkish, English (always left to right) |
| Notifications, Excel and PDF files | Organization language (Turkish or English) |
| Poster PDF text | Turkish or English |
- Visitors can switch language on screen.
- You can turn off any visitor language except the organization's default.
- The organization language is chosen in the setup wizard and cannot be changed after setup.
The three translation features
| Feature | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Dynamic content translation (visitor) | Translates pages, surveys and module text into the visitor's chosen language | Off |
| Comment/message translation (admin) | Translates feedback a visitor wrote in another language, for admins | Off |
| Transcript translation | Translates voice and video transcripts | Off |
Translation targets are limited to the 4 languages the visitor screens support.
Translate visitor content automatically
Write in the organization language
Prepare your pages, surveys and module text in the organization language as usual.
Turn on dynamic content translation
Under System → System settings → AI preferences, switch on Dynamic content translation and save.
Check it on the visitor screen
Scan a location's QR code, switch language and confirm the content is translated. On live displays (dynamic QR), the language rotates through the enabled visitor languages every 45 seconds.
Review machine translation
Automatic translation can get medical or legal meaning wrong. Have a colleague who speaks the language check important pages. Do not rely on machine translation for texts such as KVKK privacy notices or consent wording.
Read feedback that arrives in another language
Say a German-speaking patient's relative sends a complaint in German from the QR code in the polyclinic waiting area:
- Under AI preferences, turn on Comment/message translation.
- Open the item on the Feedback screen; you can read the text in the organization language.
- If the visitor left contact details, they are told by email and/or SMS when the ticket status changes; these messages exist in Turkish, English, German and Arabic.
Cache, logs and limits
- Translations and transcripts are cached for 14 days, so the same text is not translated twice.
- Translation rows are kept indefinitely for legal audit, and can be viewed under System → Records → Translations.
- Daily limit: 5,000 translation calls per day. Public translation requests from the visitor screens are also limited to 5,000 per IP. These limits cannot be changed.
Limits
- The visitor screens support only these 4 languages; you cannot add another.
- Right-to-left layout applies to Arabic only.
- The admin panel is available in Turkish and English only.
