Question Types

Reference guide for all question types available in the Enafeedback survey builder.

Rating

A numeric scale displayed as star icons or numbered buttons.

  • Range — Configure min and max values (e.g., 1–5 or 1–10).
  • Icons — Choose between stars, thumbs, or numbered circles.
  • Labels — Add optional text labels for the lowest and highest values.
  • Use for — General satisfaction, quality ratings, hygiene scores.

NPS (Net Promoter Score)

A standardised 0–10 scale asking "How likely are you to recommend us?"

  • The response is automatically classified as Detractor (0–6), Passive (7–8), or Promoter (9–10).
  • NPS score is calculated automatically in the analytics dashboard.
  • Only one NPS question per survey is recommended.

CSAT (Customer Satisfaction Score)

A 1–5 scale displayed as emoji icons (very dissatisfied → very satisfied).

  • CSAT % is calculated as the proportion of responses scoring 4 or 5.
  • Typically placed at the end of the survey.

Single Choice

The visitor selects exactly one option from a list.

  • Options can be text, emoji, or image.
  • Supports randomise order to reduce position bias.
  • Can be displayed as a radio list or button grid.

Multiple Choice

The visitor selects one or more options.

  • Set a minimum and maximum selection count.
  • Supports "Other" option with a free-text field.

Text

An open-ended text input.

  • Single line — For short answers (name, email, ticket reference).
  • Multi-line — For comments and suggestions.
  • Set a character limit (default: 1000).
  • PII fields (email, phone) are flagged for anonymisation in AI analysis.

Matrix

A grid of rows and columns where each row is rated on the same scale.

  • Configure row labels (e.g., "Cleanliness", "Speed", "Friendliness").
  • Configure column labels (e.g., "Poor", "Average", "Excellent").
  • Useful for evaluating multiple attributes in one question.

Scale (Slider)

A continuous slider input.

  • Set min, max, and step values.
  • Add left and right labels.
  • Best for measuring intensity or agreement on a continuous spectrum.

Yes / No

A binary choice question.

  • Displayed as two prominent buttons.
  • Can trigger conditional logic (show the next section based on the answer).

A select input for long lists of options.

  • Useful for category selection (department, country, product line).
  • Supports search-as-you-type for lists longer than 10 items.

Date

A date picker input.

  • Optional min/max date constraints.
  • Useful for scheduling or recording an event date.

File Upload

Allows the visitor to attach a photo or document.

  • Max file size: 10 MB.
  • Accepted types: JPG, PNG, PDF (configurable).
  • Files are stored in the workspace's secure file storage.

Section Header

Not a question — a visual divider with a title and optional description text. Used to group related questions under a heading.

Page Break

Splits the survey into multiple pages. Each page break inserts a Next button at that point in the flow.
